Parenting Support Program

Get professional family support. Connect with other parents. Finish high school credits. Build healthy cooking skills. Share parenting tips and resources.

Our weekly Parenting Support Program is a hub of services in the community to help you grow and thrive as a parent. We offer access to a social worker, a counsellor from Rose of Durham, a Public Health Nurse and teacher from Durham Continuing Education.

Our program these days looks different due to COVID-19 - but we're still here!

We will be meeting in Elgin Park, Uxbridge on Monday's 11am-1pm while the weather permits! We will be following health and safety protocols - bring your own chair or blanket and look for our sign! (Contact us to confirm when weather is questionable.)

We meet Mondays in Uxbridge 11-1:30pm in the basement of Uxbridge Baptist Church (231 Brock St W, Uxbridge). We offer transportation support to get to this program if needed.

This is an opportunity for parents to have a break, make new friends, share struggles and support one another in a welcoming environment.

Participants help in our Community Kitchen to make a delicious and nutritious lunch for us to enjoy together. We bring in guest speakers for presentations around parenting and healthy living and have discussions in a safe and supportive environment. Child Care is provided during this program from our caring staff and volunteers. A donations closet is also accessible for diapers, children’s clothing and baby gear.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us to learn more!
